Garena's Garena first league (GPL) was introduced in May 2012. It's a premier online game that spans up to six months and has more than 100 games. GPL's inaugural season features six teams made up of professionally-trained League of Legends players. Teams are composed of the best players in their respective nations. Garena launched the Iron Solari League - a League of Legends competition for females in the Philippines - in January of 2015. The event is bi-monthly that takes place in the second halves of each month. The goal of this event is to promote participation by communities that are underrepresented and is accessible to any women who identify as being from such. Garena does not just organize tournaments but also organizes offline gatherings and social events that enable users to meet.
