Liza Snyder
Snyder was born in Northampton within Massachusetts. The father of her is associate professor of theatre and music at Smith College. Johnny Green was a five-time Academy Award winning composer and Betty Furness, an actress and consumer journalist, were the maternal grandparents of her mother. Snyder trained in acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, New York City. Her coach was Sanford Meisner. Snyder started her career as an actor in TV dramas such as The Trials of Rosie O'Neill as well as Murder, She Wrote. The first time she was cast in a major performance as Molly Whelan, in 1993's ABC crime show Sirens. The actress co-starred on two TV movies, and also appeared as a guest star on Chicago Hope and Pacific Blue following the cancellation of the show. She was a regular in her role in the NBC comedy Jesse starring Christina Applegate from 1998-2000. Her first big screen appearance was the second role in Pay It Forward which was directed by Mimi Leder. Snyder made her debut on screen as Christine Hughes, a CBS sitcom Yes, Dear, later in the same year. The series ended in the year 2006. After Yes, Dear, Snyder took a break of five years. She returned to TV in 2011 and was a guest on a role on an episode of House as an individual who required an organ transplant. In a Raising Hope episode from 2013 She reprised her Yes, Dear character.
