Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Martinca, an actress from Romania. She made her screen debut through Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. The actress fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father is a theatre teacher at one of the country's highest-rated acting schools. She won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 in The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. The year 2008 saw her recognized"an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. An actress from Romanian descent Anamaria Marinca made her debut in the film industry through the Canadian-British TV drama Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. Her performance in Romanian art film 4 months 3 Weeks 3 Weeks, and 2 Days is remembered as well. The film won her many accolades, such as being awarded the European Film Award Best Actress for London Film Critics. In 2007, she starred the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si2 (4 months, 3 weeks 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days) which was directed composed by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film won two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Additionally, she was an infant in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She portrayed Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca was a part of her role in the Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically popular Five Minutes of Heaven. She later as Irma's German Aunt in Fury, which was released in 2014.
