Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician. She began by releasing humorous, cleverly written rap songs that addressed issues like racial identification as well as sexuality. She then expanded her fan base to Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants within Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came through trumpet. Then, she started traditional and hip-hop training. While in the school, she focused on journalism and woman's studies. She also studied Mandarin for a while in Beijing. When she graduated, she started to focus on music. Her song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in 2012. It eventually made it on the album debut Yellow Ranger released in 2014. This album also featured popular hits that went viral, such as body positive Queef or winking hometown tour New York Bitche$. The latter song was linked directly with another Awkwafina project NYC Travel Guide, which was published in the year 2015. Apart from having published a book as well, she also worked as a singer. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors as well as Storks. Her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP In Fina We Trust.
